I don’t know if any of you (those of you who live in the US anyway) have watched Ugly Betty, but you should. It’s an awesome show. I bought the dvd for my girlfriend with the assumption that I probably wouldn’t like it, but after watching it with her I really got hooked. It’s an amazingly well written show with great actors.

The show at first seems like it’s just gonna be a shallow, campy fashion drama, but it’s actually really sincere and touching, as well as funny and mysterious. There are some insane plot twists. The characters are really well thought out and real. Most of the characters that they establish in the pilot as “badguys” you actually start to feel for and understand in later episodes, even while they remain “badguys”.

That’s... pretty much all I got on to say. Heh.

Haha. A beautiful woman made ugly. Poor thing. =) I stopped watching Ugly Betty after a while...couldn't fit it into my schedule and I kind of lost interest.

i've only watched like two episodes of ugly betty, but i did watch the whole series of the original colombian version, and then later on the mexican remake, they were really awesome too. i think i might like this one if i watch more episodes.

i think the protagonist of the mexican version made an appearance as betty's cousin once, i'm not sure though.

I've been wanting to watch it bc I really love america ferrera but I have so many other shows I watch that I have to dvr them and my dvr fills up quickly bc I have so many series recordings so I havent gotten to it yet.
