Did you vote?
Thursday. 11.9.06 11:16 am
So how many of you (the few that read my blog and are old enough) voted?

I didn't vote. I've been old enough to vote since before the 2004 election and I haven't once voted. And speaking honestly I probably won't ever find myself voting. Not unless one of the major political parties can pull their heads from their asses long enough to field a decent candidate.

I know a lot of people are happy that the democrats are in charge of the Senate and the House. Frankly I could care less. No one in mainstream media (with the exception of John Stewart) and not a soul I've seen in Washington seems to be willing to admit that perhaps neither party should be in charge.

Everything I've seen of the Democratic party the last few weeks has shown that their major selling point is "we're not republicans". That's basically what their "time for a change" slogan boils down to. I haven't seen any sign that the Democrats have a cohesive vision for the future of America. Oh sure in some small ways they'll be different, but in the end it doesn't matter what party a politician belongs to. Most of them are still just rich people who could care less about the middle class (or any but the upper class) until elections come around.

So screw it. Unless I see someone up on a podium who has more than half a brain and can articulate a little common sense on how we can fix all the problems in the country, I'm not voting.

Diddy and Paris Hilton and all those other celebrities out for a few more seconds of spotlight can kiss my ass.

yup.. Doesnt only happen in the USA... Happens all the way here in Malaysia too.... Election period, all kinds of propaganda come out like " We'll improve this, we'll improve that" but... after they get elected... Nothing and i repeat NOTHING is seen happen but little petty things like patching up this road and that road.. but.... maybe a little playground but thats about all...... Where the heck is all the "flourishing the streets with flowers, brightening up the old pre-war buildings, making the location a better and fresher place to live" promises that had been made during the election periods?? All empty promises.....!!

I didn't vote...have no desire to vote...I feel that I am not educated enough to vote (a good vote is an educated vote and if you don't research what you're voting for, it is just blind anyway...and that's what it turns out to be in the long run)...

and in response to your comment on my entry - I do like to snuggle, but being pregnant (and it's hard enough to find a good position to sleep in anywhere where half my limbs aren't falling asleep as it is), it's just not fun when he's laying practically on top of me...lol...it's even more squishy and uncomfortable since I have a little baby sitting there too!
